Africa Materials Research Society (A-MRS)
Welcome to Africa-MRS PDF Print E-mail

Africa Material Research Society (Africa-MRS) is an all-African society set-up for the continental advancement of Material Engineering. It provides an avenue for information sharing on new and existing materials and its technologies through idea exchange, conferences and technical publications.

Material Engineering is the technology by which materials are developed or selected and manufacturing processes chosen which will convert those materials into products which meet the design, performance, producability, quality, and cost effective criteria required. This includes: Nanomaterials, composite materials, advanced reinforcement fibre development, fire properties of composite materials, composite materials in recreational products, design and analysis of composite structures, metal and composite adhesive bonding, composite materials in infrastructural development and many more.

You can also become a part of the team of Technical Excellence by joining the Society.

The new Africa-MRS Community Portal wiil soon be online. The Africa-MRS Community Portal is a new web site for the African Material community.

There you will find a constant source of information about the activities in the continent, learn about African MRS Events continent-wide, event information, involvement opportunieties, articles about local communities and see if there is a Material User Group nearby
